LogBuddy is a personal health journal and AI coaching app. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it is protected, and the control you have over it. Your health data belongs to you and is never sold or used for advertising.
Account data: your email address and, if you provide one, a nickname. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and never visible to us.
Health check-ins: everything you choose to log — sleep, energy, mood, training, nutrition, digestion, notes and any free-text you send the coach — plus the readiness scores, insights and weekly reports derived from it.
Onboarding preferences: goals, training phase and coaching style, used to personalise your coach.
Technical data: basic logs needed to keep the service secure and working, such as request timestamps and error reports.
To run your account, generate your check-ins, readiness scores, insights and weekly reports, keep the service secure, and respond when you contact support. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your health data to train third-party AI models.
To generate coaching responses, the relevant parts of your recent logs and profile are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) through their API. Under their API terms this content is not used to train their models. Please avoid entering information you would not want processed this way.
Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database with row-level security, so each account can only read and write its own records. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access by our team is limited to what is needed to operate and support the service.
We keep your data for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, logs, conversations and reports are removed from our live systems, with residual copies clearing from routine backups shortly afterwards.
You can view, correct or delete your data at any time from Settings, and you can request an export or full deletion by emailing hello@logbuddy.app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority.
LogBuddy is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
